NIcki Sherman earned her Master of Arts from Bowling Green State University. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision status and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor-Counselor Supervisor. Nicki has provided individual, marriage, and addiction counseling in Ottawa County for 23 years. She enjoys influencing the next generation of counselors by supervising masters level interns, conducting foster/adoptive parent training, and running an addiction DIP program.

Jamie Avis is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She has a BA in Child and Family Studies and completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. Jamie has received specialized training in couples counseling through the Gottman Institute (level 2 certification).
Jamie is dedicated to helping her clients reach their goals. She treats each client with warmth and respect while providing a non-judgmental, compassionate, and attentive style. Jamie enjoys working with individuals facing a variety of difficulties including, anxiety and depression, teenage adjustment struggles, relationship issues, and substance use. Her treatment modalities include CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and DBT. She utilizes Gottman methods with couples who want to make their relationship work, but are uncertain of the tools and where to start.
Cheryl Jefferson earned her Master of Social Work. As a Licensed Social Worker Cheryl is an advocate for freedom. Cheryl empowers adults on their journey of self-awareness so they are free to love themselves and others appropriately. Cheryl guides clients through their past hurts and present barriers in order to prepare them for future success.
Christine Hall (Chrissy) graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in Communication; and then went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling at Spring Arbor University in Michigan. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Ohio and is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. Chrissy is also an Ohio Certified Abstinence Educator and a licensed substitute teacher. In addition to private practice, she works part-time as a Mental Health Specialist at a local elementary school and as a substitute teacher for K-12th grade.
Chrissy works well with children/adolescents and parents, providing positive parenting solutions for everyday issues. She also enjoys helping women work through issues involving, anxiety, depression and self-esteem. She uses an eclectic and creative combination of interventions that include, but are not limited to mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and play/art therapy.
Chrissy currently lives in Oak Harbor and is married with two children, six cats and two dogs. She enjoys kayaking, spending time with her family and friends, practicing yoga and loves the outdoors.
